Committee on Outreach

Committee Mission

The Outreach Committee ensures that patients and the medical community recognize the value of nuclear medicine, molecular imaging and radionuclide therapy. It focuses on promoting nuclear medicine and positioning SNMMI as the worldwide leader in molecular imaging and radionuclide therapy. 

Committee Charge

  • Increasing the number of patients advocating in support of the value of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging 
  • Increasing referring physicians’ awareness of new radiopharmaceuticals 
  • Improving and fostering new collaborations with other medical societies 
  • Encouraging SNMMI members to engage in outreach efforts within their communities and institutions 
  • Providing outreach to health care administrators
