Brain Imaging Outreach Working Group

Committee Mission

The Brain Imaging Outreach Working Group focuses on increasing awareness among neurologists and other referring physicians about FDG, SPECT, dopamine transporter imaging, amyloid and tau imaging, and FET PET imaging and their appropriate uses, providing updated patient materials for the website and all patient education events, and educating legislators, regulatory officials, and funding bodies.

Committee Charges

  • Propose sessions at relevant society meetings:
    • Alzheimer’s Association International Conference
    • International Neuropsychology Society Annual Meeting
    • American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry
  • Create slideshow on Diagnosing Memory Disorders for use in the Local Outreach Library
  • Develop a “How to Better Understand Your Imaging Report” Factsheet on Amyloid Imaging
