Overview
The SNMMI Mars Shot Research Fund is dedicated to accelerating innovation and advancing the frontiers of nuclear medicine research to improve patient outcomes. To further this mission, the Steven Larson Named Lecture on Advanced Nuclear Medicine Research will recognize the contributions of outstanding researchers in nuclear medicine and provide direct funding for continued innovation.
Named in honor of Dr. Steven Larson, a pioneer in the field, this lecture and grant series will:
- Showcase high-impact research by a nuclear medicine physician, radiochemist, or medical physicist.
- Provide a $10,000 grant annually to support the individual researcher’s ongoing or new research work, reinforcing SNMMI’s commitment to advancing innovative scientific research.
- Inspire the broader nuclear medicine and molecular imaging community by highlighting cutting-edge developments and their potential impact on healthcare.
