Susan C. Weiss Clinical Advancement Scholarship

Overview

In honor of Susan C. Weiss, SNMMI-TS Past-President and former Executive Director of the Education and Research Foundation for SNMMI, the Susan C. Weiss Clinical Advancement Scholarship serves to support a certified nuclear medicine technologist who is pursuing clinical advancement in nuclear medicine. This award can also cover the cost of credentialing/certifications exams. This award is made possible through a grant from the Education and Research Foundation.

REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for the Susan C. Weiss Clinical Advancement Scholarship, candidates must:

Be a certified CNMT and/or R.T.(N)(ARRT) technologist in good standing.
Be currently pursuing a credential or certification, or enrolled in a degree/certificate program.
Education must be in one of the following: Nuclear Medicine Technology, PET, NMAA, CT, MRI, NCT, DEXA, Radiation Safety, UAB Therapy Intensive, or any content that will support an individual to advance their career in nuclear medicine.
Be an active member of the SNMMI-TS.

The online application will require the following:

A current resume or curriculum vitae
An applicant statement not to exceed 1000 words which details activity level in the national and/or chapter SNMMI Technologist Section (SNMMI-TS). The statement should address the following questions: What are your career and educational goals? How will the course/program/advancement help you to achieve your professional goals and contribute to the field of nuclear medicine?
Contact information for a professional colleague who will be asked to answer questions about the applicant's professional character.
