Committee Mission
The purpose of the Scientist Pipeline Working Group is to further understand the demand of the field. There is an increasing demand in the pipeline, yet the number of individuals entering the field is not increasing at the rate that is needed.
Committee Charges
- Create and Distribute Survey - program needs, demand in the field, projected growth and current and/or anticipated challenges. The data collected from this survey will be used to help guide the efforts of the Scientist Pipeline Working Group and will be shared with the SNMMI membership and Industry Partners to help guide change and support for trainees.
- Reach out to other scientist related groups to see what their outreach efforts are and if there is a possibility to partner – SNMMI will be collaborating with the Society of Radiopharmaceutical Science (SRS) and the Coalition of PET Drug Manufacturers on the survey.
- Identify funding for Fellowships to assist with the pipeline.
