Pennsylvania Senate Passes Bill for Licensure of Medical
Imaging Professionals
A bill (Senate Bill 1334) that would establish licensure for medical imaging and radiation therapy
professionals, including for nuclear medicine technology, has passed the
Pennsylvania Senate. The bill is now pending in the Pennsylvania House of
Representatives, where it will next move through House Committee votes. The
licensing standards in the bill include requirements to satisfactorily complete
an accredited education program, pass a recognized examination, and engage in
ongoing continuing education.
