Photography
- Photography by individuals for personal use (including on personal social media) is allowed at social events, in the Exhibit Hall, and in public spaces. Individuals who would like to take photographs of equipment displayed in the exhibit hall should seek the permission of the exhibiting company to do so.
- Photography for personal use (including on personal social media) at sessions, lectures, plenaries, and keynotes is allowed unless the presenter or moderator requests no photographs.
- Attendees must honor any “no photos” request and any individual’s request not to be photographed.
- Presenters must be identified by name when photographs of them, their slides, or their posters are shared, on social media or elsewhere.
- Attendees should be respectful and considerate of others. Do not use flash, block other attendees’ view of presenters when capturing photos, or otherwise disrupt presentations.
- Do not photograph individuals under 18 without permission from a parent or guardian.
- Attendee photographic equipment is limited to handheld devices such as phones and tablets. Large cameras and other equipment such as tripods, monopods, etc., are prohibited in session rooms and the exhibit hall, except for credentialed media with press badges and SNMMI-authorized personnel who have the permission of presenters and exhibitors to do so. Audio and video recording
Audio and video recording by individuals for personal or social media use is allowed only at social events, in the Exhibit Hall (with exhibitor permission), and in public spaces.
Video and audio recording of sessions, presentations, posters, or exhibit booths are prohibited. This includes sharing images from presentations or posters without the presenters’ consent.
Social Media
We welcome social media use at the SNMMI meeting, but please adhere to the above photo and audio/video recording policies. In addition, we ask social media users to adhere to the following:
- Tag SNMMI in social posts @SNM_MI on Twitter/Instagram and Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) on LinkedIn.
- Employ commonly used keywords that relate to the content to increase engagement.
- Treat all participants, attendees, SNMMI staff, and vendors with respect and consideration.
- Avoid personal attacks directed toward other attendees, participants, SNMMI staff, and suppliers/vendors.
- Credit (identify) presenters by name.
- Do not take or share photographs of individuals under 18 without permission from a parent or guardian.
Media and Press
Credentialed media displaying official SNMMI press badges are permitted to use professional cameras, video/audio recording devices, and associated equipment for news coverage, interviews, and editorial purposes, subject to presenter permissions, exhibitor permissions, and instructions from SNMMI staff.
