SNMMI-TS/AMI Entry Level Nuclear Medicine Technology Scholarship

Overview

The SNMMI-TS/AMI (American Molecular Imaging, Inc.) Entry Level Nuclear Medicine Technology Scholarship serves to support individuals interested in pursuing a career as a nuclear medicine technologist.

Currently, several states do not have Nuclear Medicine Technology Programs, despite a need from their community to fill the vital role of a NMT. This lack of educational infrastructure ultimately leads to communities having inadequate support from qualified technologists, which in turn leads to inadequate access to care for patients. Support for these areas will not only increase diversity and cultural understanding but also improve patients’ access to care, their perceptions of the care they receive, and their health outcomes. These combined efforts will help build a strong, knowledgeable, and adaptable nuclear medicine workforce for the future, ensuring that the highest standards of professionalism and patient care are upheld.

The SNMMI-TS/AMI Entry Level Nuclear Medicine Technology Scholarship seeks to meet the growing need of patients by providing scholarships to individuals interested in pursuing a career as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

The individual must have applied to a certificate, associate, bachelor's or master's nuclear medicine technology training program within the last six months and must have either recently been accepted or are awaiting acceptance determination.

Only applicants accepted into NMT Programs will be permitted to receive this scholarship.
